Ahh!! Lake Travis and water skiing, what a beautiful combination. Now
that the lake is back up after the drought conditions of 2006, everyone
is looking forward to a great year of boating and water sports. 2006 saw
the lake drop to the lowest levels in many years. There is nothing more
frustrating than having lake front property and not being able to use your
boat dock or any of the local ramps because of low water. Well all that
has changed and we're ready to kick off the 2007 lake season!
Before the lake levels dropped last season, we had some great skiing on
the Pedernales River. All our friends love
to come and ski on the Pedernales. Mark and David have a portable slalom
course and last year everyone made great improvements on their slalom passes.
David and I both skied personal best's! David made 3@ 38 ft off and I made
2@ 35 ft off. David got to compete in a couple of local tournaments sponsered
by The Capital Area Water
Ski Club.
One last thing...This year Austin will host the "Ski
Nautique Big Dawg Ski Tournament" June 23-24 at the Austin Aquaplex! Click
